The Owl’s Strategy Nest · for grades 3 to 5

I built it and never opened the door

A membership for upper elementary teachers. One themed drop a month, built around the thing you are dealing with that month. It opens August 17, and I am taking a small founding group first.

The waitlist gets in first and gets the founding rate. No charge to join the list.

What the year looks like

The honest version

There is a folder on my computer called the Owl’s Strategy Nest. I have been building what is in it for close to four years. A members area, a year of content planned, a welcome page, all of it finished. Never opened.

Every time I got close, I found one more thing to build first. One more deck. One more page to fix. Four years of one more thing. If you have ever reorganized your entire classroom library to avoid writing report cards, you know exactly what I was doing.

So here is me opening the door.

What you get every month

The drop

One theme, fully built. Not a folder of unrelated printables. If the theme is feedback and assessment, you get the strategy cards, the exit tickets, the recording sheets, and a walkthrough of how to run it in a week that already has too much in it.

A month at a time

On the monthly plan the members area shows the current month's drop, and it changes over when the next one lands. Anything you download is yours to keep for good. If you want the whole library open all year, that is what the annual plan is for.

The card decks

Flight Patterns, Wingbeats, the Combo Deck. Two years of engagement structures, tested in a real room with real fourth graders who did not care that I had a plan.

The people

Upper elementary teachers dealing with the same thing you are, in the same month you are dealing with it, plus lives where we walk through the month's material and troubleshoot your actual classroom. Come to them or watch later. Nothing to finish, nothing due.

What founding means

  • Your rate is locked for as long as you stay. Founding members pay $14.97 a month. When the price goes up later this year, you keep paying what you paid in August.
  • The founding rate is capped at 50. This is a permanent discount, not a launch coupon. Fifty teachers at this price is something I can carry for good. Three hundred is not. When the fifty are gone the doors stay open, just at the regular price.

Who this is not for

  • Kindergarten through second grade. Everything in it assumes readers and kids who can be given independence. You would be paying for something built for someone else.
  • Anyone who wants a curriculum. This goes on top of whatever your district already bought.
  • Anyone who wants one-on-one coaching or someone to review their lesson plans. The lives are group sessions, and questions get answered there.
  • Anyone looking at their bank account this week and wincing. This will still be here in January. Come then. I mean that.

How this goes

  • Waitlist opens. It is the only thing you need to do right now.

  • The waitlist gets in, two days before anyone else, at the founding rate.

  • Doors open to everyone else.

  • Founding closes, or sooner if the cap fills. The rate does not come back.

  • Your first drop lands. Nothing to download before then, because the last week of August is not the week for homework.

Get in first

Doors open to the waitlist on Saturday, August 15. Two full days before anyone else, at the founding rate, and only 50 spots exist.

No charge to join the list. Leave whenever you like.
